Rieju 500 Aventura

Post by ChrisW »

Just reading about this on ADVRider.

CB500 engine made under license in China - it has 40 litre fuel tanks! If anyone could afford to fill them that'd be a huge range.

Looks quite good, too.

That's 31.6 kgs for a full full tank.

That'll take the fizz out of the donkey.

I don't know about the build quality or the spec of the suspension but i think that looks alright & sub 200 KG.
Fuel range seems overkill

It'll also likely make the tail wag the dog.

The F650GS with the fuel tank under the seat had distinctly weird handling in bends.

I like the look of that. Love the long range tanks too. Filling up is an arse of a job when you do it regularly.

But you'll be paying in increased fuel consumption for lugging an unncessary 25kg of fuel around.

I'd still rather suffer that, than stop for fuel every other day!

25kg? Isn't that 33 litres? I don't think a 7 litre/1.5 gallon tank would be very useful!! :D

Commuting on my 625 SMC when I moved to Hertford was a pain in the cock I had to fill up daily
