I was relieved to see it was still upright this morning. You think its gone on right and it seems solid enough, but for some reason it still makes me nervous! Back wheel coming out later! :?

Looks like its about £160 for a valet and acf treatment. I shall get it booked in and it'll be restored to its former glory and protected for the rest of the winter!

I'd be curious to see how detailed a job they do... Can you take some close ups after/before please ?

Obviously i've not had a dirty bike for a fair few years, so my cleaning/detailing stuff doesn't really happen any more. But i know full well how long it takes to make a bike clean and it's not £160 lol.

Yes I will do. The main objective is to get it cleaner than it is as I'm not in a position to do that myself. So even if its not flawless, it'll be better than I can do it. His before and after pics on his website, insta etc look good.

I use acf50, looks good when done, but I do wonder how long it works. I clean my bikes after every ride pretty much and these cleaning products are pretty strong.

Some say, spray acf and don't clean until spring. 🤷‍♂️

If a full on application of ACF, then yes, that's how it's done.

That's my understanding of the application and my intention. I'll get him back to remove it and clean the bike again, if I dont do it myself.

In general, however there are some parts of the bike you can't coat with acf,so will need attention if they aren't to rot pretty fast. I also found I needed to reapply acf fairly regularly to keep things corrosion free.

Yes,I never washed the bike until the salt had gone, but don't take it for granted, keep an eye on things to avoid nasty surprises in the Spring.
