Well...the RS will handle better,brake better and be faster. Depending on what age you are,the looks will be subjective.

The Z won't depreciate as much,if that matters.

If you believe the official figures (off of wikipedia), the older bike is 6mph fasterer.

I had a Z650 back in the day,cost me more in oil than petrol to get the thing back from Barcelona
The paint on that twin looks really nice when you see one outside.

I haven't ridden the new one, but the old one was a really nice bike to ride in 1986ish, better than the Z900 or 1000, I suspect it would feel shit comparing it with my GSXS750 which is closer to it than the Z650RS, which is closer to a Z750 twin.

But I'm currently in a hotel room in Peterborough semi pissed at Virgin Media's expense so I could be typing any old shit
