Re: What have you done today thread?
Spent the last few days being outsmarted by a mouse. Been using a humane trap, but the little shit just kept eating the cheese.
Not so fucking clever with a little snapper are you?

I've just arrived at London Bridge for the first time in weeks. This commuting lark is rubbish, I don't think it will ever catch on.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Seriously regretting being so 'honest'. My last sick note came to an end on the 23/10 and TBF I could have worked (if I could find a job where they'd accept me with limited arm movement, limited transport and limited time as I was due to start work soon).
Could have asked the doc for another, but I knew I'd start work in November and everyone told me that the unemployment system here would help me for the couple or 4 weeks between the sick note end and starting the winter job
So, being honest sucks again - just been to the job centre and they can't help me at all. Luckily I start work tomorrow. But that's 3 weeks with zero 'help' - and it's not a lot, just kept the wolf from the door enough to tide me over till winter.
Hey ho. That'll learn me. Swing the lead on the sick as long as possible - the doc would have cancelled it when I had a start date for work, so I really should have just gone back to him
Good job I have a fair bit in the freezer - will be interesting creating meals, but I won't starve

Re: What have you done today thread?
Years ago my wife insisted we used humane traps. The first one I caught I walked across the road to a bit of scrubland and let him go. Little Bastard turned round and ran back "home" and was back there before I was. From then on they were then treated to a last supper...

Re: What have you done today thread?
Did a bit of enduro riding. Aha, you say.
Yes, but this was on the GSXR
Pal does enduro tours and chain broke on his.
He called me to see if I had spare split link.
Then asked if I could meet them to take 1 home. They had freewheeled to somewhere obvious
Penny had the car so had to jump on the GSXR.
I knew where they were and had been many times in car and on dirt bikes.
Shit, was half mile of crap. The GSXR coped quite well
When I arrived Paul decided he couldn't just leave bike there so he had called breakdown.
Punter was French so I was able to translate.
So I rode home with his customer on quiet roads.
We got to his house first so tried chatting with Froggy. He could tell my French was iffy, but he kept rabbiting on. Asked him to slow down.
Nah. Just the same.
Got pissed off so sat down in a quiet shady place.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Today oi have mainly bin yompin'. Went to hug a tree but couldn't get my arms around it.
Apparently there are some oak trees in Leicestershire that they started pollarding in 1554. ie chopped the tops off out of respect for Lady Jane Grey who also had her top chopped off (she was born nearby). I'm sure she appreciated the gesture.

Decided to replace the 44 teeth rear sprocket on the Falco with a 46 teeth one I bought a year or so ago.
Only to find that the current sprocket in fact has 46 teeth...

Sat in a hot tub in mid Wales eating a French stick and pata and supping a bottle of white, staring at stars. Whats not to like.
