At last. A bike with a screen higher than the seat.

I think in some world, either one of these or maybe a Ducati 899 will be Mrs Weeksys next track bike.

It's a great looking bike as is the touted Tuono version. Can see it being spendy though.

That’s a lovely looking bike, I’d only be able to get one arse cheek on the seat, but it’s very nice :D

Front looks too fat compared to the rear. I'm sure it'll be ace to ride while it's working though

That'd be my main worry on top of the price. Too many storys of the V4 needing shed loads of maintenance and issues.

MAybe back in 2012 yeah, but we're a long way past that now. Although the V4RF is insanely expensive for servicing if used on track etc. I'm not saying they're Japanese levels of reliable, of course they're not... but they're not bad now.

Maybe just the early V4's then. Defo remember seeing some scary things in mags under buying advice.

Then again I own a 690

I would- seriously, I think it looks great and sounds brilliant and I'll definitely be looking to get a go on one when they come out- realistically though, the Tuono version of it is probably more me- I'll try both if I can :D

I suspect it won't be cheap, therefore probably won't be used as anything more than a weekend toy, I doubt you'll see one with a top box.

People who want a modern RGV, something that doesn't weigh a ton and handles superbly without being a full balls out litre bike. I'd nearly bet my house a shed load of these end up on the track in some sort of race series, I'd love one but couldn't afford one and couldn't fit on one anyway.

imho the only competition is the KTM 790/890R Dukes.... in the around a100bhp and twin cylinder sector.

I bet KTM are waiting to see if the 'prilla is a success before sticking a fairing and clipons on the 890 and calling it the RC890R.

I'm astounded it's not already on the showroom floors. I'd buy the wife one tomorrow.

It's aimed at the same market as the R6, and I haven't seen one of those on the road for a long time, the CBR650 is more road biased and I haven't seen many of those on the road, most bikes I see on the road these days are adventure tourers, I think the race replica market has died.

That's because the current R6 costs £12k!

I don't think it's aimed at the R6, it's 30 odd bhp down for starters. Money wise I reckon it'll be into 1000cc territory.
