Decided to have a look at the 'Chief Twit' thread.

Fuck me, it's like watching really pissed people trying to argue with each other at closing time. Only less funny.

I do wonder how people can put so much effort into rehashing the same biased diatribe and arguing the toss with someone else who has rehashed their diatribe. I'd rather piss into a strong wind as it would be a more useful spend of my time.

Glad it ain't cluttering up the GM section.

The irony of that thread is they are arguing about social media on social media.

Just got back from seeing Aussie Pink Floyd. Not a massive Floyd fan, but the convicts put on a very good show...

A mate of mine recommended it, and it's definitely worth seeing them if you can. They did a varied selection of pretty much all the various ages of Floyd, from See Emily Play through to the Division Bell, with a lot of the 70s/80s faves thrown in. And I felt positively young compared to some of the attendees... :D

Awesome! Which area?

I used to do that when I lived in Somerset :D A smidge annoying/frustrating and sometimes stressful, but very rewarding too :D

I've heard good things about Aussie Pink Floyd.

I went to see Whole Lotta Led a few years ago, they were really impressive too. They even look like (most of) the members would look about now, if they were still touring.

'South Central Ambulance' - which covers from the Hampshire coast up to Ox and Bucks. I will be in Newbury area only. Probably - I didn't actually ask how far I might be asked to travel!

The Aussie PF don't look much (if anything) like the real ones, and they employ as many band members on stage at any one time as necessary to get the depth of sound right. Two guitarists (one of whom doubles on keyboards), bass, drums, keyboards, vocalist and three female backup singers.

And the occasional visit from an inflatable teacher and a kangaroo. Just because.

We didn't travel far. I was in Wells in Somerset and we had no ambulance station. So the group started there to get to people faster than the ambulance would

Good luck :D :D

Car has passed its MOT with the following advisory “ Offside Front Outer Drive shaft joint constant velocity boot severely deteriorated (6.1.7 (g) (i))” which translates to ‘Your CV boot has got a small nick in it, we’ve wiped off the grease and you should get it sorted’.

On asking how much and when they could do it, the response was ‘just get it done when the service is due (3000 mile / 3 months)’. I got the feeling the MOT man didn’t want the work and he knows I use a BMW specialist to maintain the service history who can get his hands dirty / mess around with removing the driveshaft / stretchy / split boot etc. :D

I’ve updated my CPD log, booked the last of my annual leave for the year and shuffled paper around my desk.
