SRAM or Shitmano seem to last forever though I am becoming a bit unimpressed with the Evil's XT's and their wandering bite point.
My devotion to Hopes still continues - however I must be the only person in the world that quite like the Code Rs on the Privateer ( once you change the span settings etc).
The only down side with hopes is that the squeal like a stuck pig - when wet, when gritty, when very hot

the Codes on the blue Fury are nice since i threw new pads in them.... can't complain with them at all.

But if you read reviews, everyone hates them!

Random ride with mates, so nice being the fastest downhill instead of the slowest.

One good reason not to take too much notice of reviews / general waffling on the internet.

I quite like them as well, I found a good bleed and a good bedding in procedure sorts them out. I quite like the progressiveness at the lever because I tend to comfort brake way too much, but because they are so progressive I'm not actually slowing down until I give the levers a good tug. 👍

Short E bike commute to work today, bailed off the train at Glynde, straight up to the radio masts at Firle and then to Brighton off road. 14 miles in a hour with an av HR of 149.

Not saying the Downs are flooded but on the train home I watched a load of Hueys pop over the tree line and fly over the paddy fields……..(too many night shifts😂)

I bet that wasn't too much of a surprise - most of my town is flooded due to and inability to clear up Autumn leaves.

I am waiting fro all the earth to slither off the Downs , just leaving naked chalk.

32 Miles, 3800ft of climbing, flat battery 🪫 on the bike and me. Maybe used a bit too much boost😂. Bailed on last nights ride as it was howling gales and 35-40mm rain in about 3 hours. Today was just windy but even the tops oh the Downs had huge puddles.

Zwifted Monday and Tuesday

Today I went outside, gave in as I never wanted to get the trek dirty. Did just under 64km to peaslake and back roads where wet and muddy, saw a nice whyte g180 and some brand new proper chunky Canyons E-MTB’s.

Ranmore hill was a killer and so where a few on the way back, then just for the Bants did box hill.

Was pretty chilly out today, but great fun.

Like a knob, just after taking the picture of the sign I could’t un-clip properly and fell over. Bikes first minor scare 🙄

Utter disaster of a ride, ended in a sense of humour failure and borderline hypothermia.

Not overly surprising - Sussex is unbelievably cold at the moment
( and now snowing)
