Bastard ebay...........

Not sold anything on ebay for ages, but put something on as I'm trying to have a clear out.

Item sold cheap, buyer paid, but ebay has sent a message saying they will hold the payment for two weeks in case the buyer isn't happy, ebven after it's delivered.

Utter bollox, sold for £40 plus post, and they keep nearly £7 out of it.

So - is there anywhere better to sell used stuff online? I have been using Marketplace, but you get a big percentage of people piss you about.

I tend to avoid eBay now as their charges are too high. I have a lot of success with Facebook marketplace.

FB closed groups are a good place to sell,particularly if the item or items are model specific to the group interest. No fees and folk either want the stuff or don't,no speculators in my experience.

I sacked eBay as a seller when they wanted access to my bank account. No way is that going to happen. That, and the proportion of the sale price they keep just creeps up and up.

Yep, i effed eBay off long ago. Why anyone sells on there remains a mystery.

Ebay is gone for me.

I do sell on marketplace, problem I have is we are in Mid Wales, OK for selling stuff locals want, but selling stuff like bike parts that need shipping doesn't go so well. Maybe as suggested I should join groups of FB to sellbike specific stuff
