Watched PNG thrash the Welsh 36-0.

We (wife and mother) upset some Welsh supporters so much cheering for the PNG that they moved seats!

Is none of it fit to be given away? Seems an awful waste of stuff.

Not really. Its been in the loft for years and is musty at best. Even the skip divers have walked off empty handed...

I've been having some garden work done recently, I came home yesterday to observe what I thought was a perfectly good wheelbarrow in my skip. I assumed the builder couldn't be arsed to cart it away and I thought I was quids in.

Turns out the frame has completely buckled/collapsed. Minor moment of joy squashed without mercy :(

At least you now have a spare wheel for your own barrow.

Nah the wheel was fucked too :D

Probably as a result of having to cart about 5 tonnes of smashed up concrete slab out of my garden. I Imagine he overloaded it.

Today I have learned that its not worth hoarding stuff unless you actually know where you've put it! From now on if I buy something to do a job and there's anything left over, its being given away, or going in the bin.

Today, as it's blowing a hoolie and raining, was a great day to visit Wakehurst Place (aka Kew South). It kept lesser mortals away :D Had a v nice stroll and meatballs + fusilli for lunch in the uncrammed restaurant then another nice stroll. Loads of pheasants around the place. There's a gamekeeper somewhere nearby wondering where all his birds went.

The journey home was :angry-cussingblack: though, thanks to a couple of sets of roadworks and an adventurous, GPS guided detour. :D

We’ve just started to revamp the kitchen with hoarded bits and stuff that people were throwing away :P

Not what I’d had planned fir my week off!

Nasty old sink unit and worktop taken out.

Image

My wife never did like that white plastic sink bowl which she demonstrated with her club hammer.

Image

New worktop and window ledge made from a scrounged oak table that’s been knocking about in the cellar for years, ceramic sink was in the upstairs bathroom when we moved in.

Very little really. I went to physio at 9am, then back and did some cross stitch christmas cards. A friend came by for a cuppa which was aces.

I've succumbed and put a heater on in the kitchen for hte afternoon and in the tv/sofa/sitting room for this evening :( mostly cos it's damp and yucky and that makes it feel colder :(

Had planned a really early night in prep for an early start - but I forgot about Bake off!! Oh well, will still survive the early start!!

Took a funeral for a dear friend. At least he was assured of his faith and his destination. Does not stop us from grieving at losing a dear friend. Home to take the woof for a walk, then back to Church in evening to clean the hall. Home again to relax a bit and unwind. Tomorrow is a school visit, followed by two assemblies, then fish and chips at the "Oldies Club" and then back home.
Proverbs 17:9
One who forgives an affront fosters friendship, but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend.
