I have always had a bit of a downer on Oxford products regarding quality - I guess I have always seen it as the Woolworths of the motorcycle world.

Having just bought a paddock stand, it actually seem quite good quality. Have I mis judged them?

I have had a similar downer on them, they were once the cheap and cheerful ones. I haven't bought anything recently but have seen some reviews of their jackets that suggest they may be a bit cheaper but they have upped their game a lot.

I was of the same opinion & I don't think I've ever bought any of their products,but in recent years when reading reviews on clothing, Oxford products seem to get consistently good reults so now I'm looking at their textile jackets.
I watched & enjoyed this the other month,although I'm not sure if you'd call it a advertorial

They've always epitomised the type of gear sold by M&P kind of places,but their heated grips are a good job,even though the controller looks cheap and ugly.

I had a similar view of Oxford stuff until I bought an Oxford Mondial after it won a bunch of tests and I have to say its a great jacket although wish I'd have waited for the Hinterland as that's AA rated. When I bought the jacket there were no textiles rated above A now there's a load of em. It's laminated, has a shed load of effective vents and I like the look of it. I got it in a sale at £180 I think which looks like good value as its now 250 in a sale. From reviews in the last few years they have definitely appear to have upped their game as they often rate well in mags and user reviews. Based on the Mondial I'd definitely buy other stuff from them.

I had Oxford heated grips on my last bike, and Honda one on the current one. Honda grips are neater, bot the Oxford ones were better and easier to use.

Always thought the same. Will try their stuff now then. I was the same with Frank Thomas stuff, but now I wear their textile clothing and its been briliant.

I think at one point Oxford used to rebadge stuff bought in, whereas now I think they make a lot of stuff in house and are aiming to pinch market share from the more premium brands with things like the laminated jackets

Although 30 years ago, the incident of the tailback falling into a bike's rear wheel, resulting in the death of the rider, didn't help their rep.

I've always used Oxford soft luggage and found it good - especially the mini magnetic tank bags. Sadly, I mislaid one and the other one is finally wearing out (it is very old!). They don't seem to make the same one any more It was just handy for glasses, kindle, wallet etc. Even a disc lock.

Gonna have to go searching
