And he's annoying all the right (i.e. left) people.

It is beyond me why anyone give so much credence to Twitter. Mostly it is the highly opinionated feeling that they have a right to tell everyone what is wrong with the world. Generally with little evidence , other than a man down the pub.
It's not journalism - it doesn't need corroborated source.

Fundamentally because you can reply back, discuss , debate - whilst understanding the NVC that is also going on. Twitter is nearly a foghorn, where people block responders they don't like.
More than happy with conversations - but email / texts tend to escalate issues as many see them as non-personal. Most would not say was they are posting on these forums if they were face to face with people (who quite likely will have a counterpoint and actually more idea of what they are talking about)
