^^^ Yep, it was clear Laverty knew more of the story than he was letting on.
Any ride that gives him the opportunity to show his skill will get him where he deserves to be. A couple of seasons ago his racecraft was really good. THere won;t be anymore Moto3 top 15 in one bunch, but I'll be interested to see what he can do and wish him all the best.

Re: MotoGP - Sepang 22
What is the point of a crew chief blocking a rider's request for setup changes, especially when the rider is struggling with the current setup? I really don't get it. It has to be purely a matter of ego and control. Isn't it better for the whole team if a rider is comfortable with the bike setup and gets results? If a setup change turns out to be a dead end, then the only thing that has been lost is time, but you've learned something. There are so many variables in the setup of a racing motorcycle (and the biggest variable is the rider) that no-one can say definitively 'that won't work'.

All completely right, but this guy has actually assaulted a rider so that's way beyond ego around bike set up requests.mangocrazy wrote: ↑Tue Oct 25, 2022 11:15 am What is the point of a crew chief blocking a rider's request for setup changes, especially when the rider is struggling with the current setup?
