It'll be heated grips and hard luggage next, wearing textile riding suits and discussing mpg, next thing you know you're buying a BMW and wondering if you smell of wee.
And topboxes,don't forget topboxes.
But not my top box - aren't they std issue on BMW tourers. Apparently they develop a death weave if they don't have them on.

And god forbid people post picture on motorbikes on a motorbike forums.
Your top box is especially awful, I bet it smells like a 1980s phone box, how you could do that to an innocent GSXS, you should be shot at dawn (not my cousin Dawn)

No, I had my appraisal today at work, and was told to take the piss out of the helpdesk fuck Muppets less, so as I need to vent my robust sense of humour somewhere, it's going to be here, I was also told to be less abrasive - apart from that I'm perfect, it's amazing the shit you can get away with at work when you're a fucking genius.

TBH, as that is so glowingly obvious, I am surprised that the bother giving you an appraisal! I hope you are allowed to do the 180 degrees thing?

Not just Triumphs, naked Hondas too.

I have a screen, heated grips, full hard luggage and wear a textile suit. But then, I actually ride the damn bike, and IDGAS what you think it looks like.

But Jack, you don't need any of those things if you only ride on sunny, dry Sundays between May and September and don't go too far from home.

Funny old world where FWBs think they have the moral high ground. Most of them think a tyre's unrideable once the pimples have worn off.

My bike doesn't even have mudguards on most of the time. What's the point?

Do Puig make a screen for it. ?? My first choice these days. Some type of rack/grabrail for strapping down luggage. Tank ring for tank bag. 👍

Functionality over aesthetics for me. I'm not looking at a bike when I'm riding it so I don't really care. No to top boxes even if they are functional - just no.

I NEED a screen because I'm going to have trouble maintaining the national speed limit without one. I've always wanted a pair of brown adventure boots but not had an excuse to buy some - I do now :D I'm having trouble getting the side-stand down wearing boots with heal and toe guards. I've taken the heal guards off my boots for now but I'm browsing adventure boots - birthday and Christmas are coming up

What are the rules on wearing modern gear on a classic bike? Do I have to buy a brown jacket, blue jeans, motorcycle trainers and grow a mustache?
You should find everything you need (apart from the mustache) in that big metal box behind the bike.

Depends on what sort of adventure your after, a wander round the public conveniences of Clapham Common in a pair of thighboots would to a very different adventure to riding a motorcycle in a pair of off road styled boots.

Alpinestars Belize might be worth considering, more comfortable version of the old Vector MX / SM boot but much shorter, lighter.
