A bitcoin bike, proof of work doesn't mean it's a good use of it.

That popped up on my Google feed today.
I suppose it's a bit 'Well, why not?' but equally 'Well, why?'

Looks like it was literally thrown together from a bit of odd bits left in a corner.
Of course, other opinions are available.

Blundering about trying not to make too much of a hash of things.

Looks like an art installation thats lost its way. I'd imagine a good few hipster gaffs would like to have it. It'd fit right in the beards and skinny latte.

Rubbish
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

Somebody must have thought that was a Good Idea. We need to find this person and stop them...

Re: PERILOUS ENDEAVOR: A BMW R69 WITH HALF A CAR ENGINE
I wondered that so I read the blurb. Bits of the engine came from an early BMW car but didn't quite fit any of the newer bike engine bits. The builder spent large amounts of time and effort making them fit.

Top ends from a 700cc twin cylinder BMW car, on a BMW bike crankcase.
A project can be difficult, without being very useful or interesting.

No,no,no. Lots of clever work, but the end result is gopping.
This is a proper R69S,made back when BMW were a cut above in quality terms.

I don’t think these hipster curiosities are worth a thread each.
There is an “Interesting Bikes” thread.

I’m not saying that what I think counts for much.
