Just started watching "Industry" on BBC catch up ...

Doesn't make you think the financial sector is run by nice people ...

Love an Irish film normally, but we just watched The O'Briens. Well, at least the wife stuck with it, whilst I bailed. It was such a shit production I was embarrassed for them. Must have been made with Samsung phones ffs! :wtf:

If you like Irish films, try the new Lord of the Rings series!
Seriously, what were they thinking making the Harfoots/hobbits all 'oirish'? It's all a bit of a 'Jar Jar Binks' idea.

(Not v impressed with the rest of it either).

Bullet Train - we weren't expecting much but it was good fun.

An odd mix of Kill Bill, Snatch, the Umbrella Academy & even Agatha Christie.

Been watching Andor on Disney+.

I like the story and love the 80s Sci fi music, but the best bit is playing "spot the British filming location".

So far I've got Canary Wharf, the Scottish Highlands, the McLaren Technical Centre and the Barbican Centre :D

Wet Sunday afternoon, got bored, went to the flicks,

The Banshees of Inisherin.

There's some dark humour, but it's either a bit too long or a bit too high brow for me.

It's a REALLY slow burner.

The actual heist episode was alright.

Reminds me of Blade Runner.

Which probably isn't an accident.

Watched LAND last night. If you've ever seen The Straight Story, its a bit like that. Not much happens and you're not sure why you watched it, yet you kind of enjoyed it? :wtf:

Didn't do much for me but kept the missus quiet for an hour....

The Lost City. Typical multiple A lister cast which equates to a crap film. Don't bother.

A Grand Seduction. Irish farce and funny if you liekk that sort of thing.

Last Seen Alive. Not a typical Gerard Butler gorefest, just slightly ridiculous, but I kinda enjoyed it?

Started watching The Devil's Hour on Prime. It's all a bit 'I see dead people' so far but Peter Capaldi is scary enough to keep people awake at night.

Interesting enough to make me plan to watch Ep. 2

Anyone else watching The Peripheral on Prime based on the William Gibson book.

Liking it so far.

Not read it but was a big fan of his earlier books.

Nope, but it's been added to my watch list.
Currently I'm taking a break from Star Wars and binging Star Trek Discovery

I watched Jojo Rabbit yesterday on Disney+.

It was quite clever and funny, until about half an hour from the end when it got a bit depressing and dark.

Taika Waititi plays a young German boy's imaginary friend... Hitler. You kinda need to see it, Sam Rockwell is great in it too.

The Watcher (series on Netflix)

Decently acted, strongly casted, quality production.
Engaging enough to watch all 8(?) episodes.
My missus really liked it, I found it all a bit 'tales of the unexpected', but then I'm a stickler for a neat ending.

I was hooked at the start then it just got more and more ridiculous as it went on. And the ending...

Another one we were recommended was You. Sometimes you have to give them the first episode, but I struggled. Got 20 minutes into the second episode and bailed. Too many mini series, box set things at the mo...

I confess to getting into Below Decks - Meditteranean...
