It's a shame HD never made a proper 'roadster' style motorcycle (think Triumph Twin), the closest they got was the sportster, but that still had raked out forks.

The XR1200 is nearly there, but a bit too modern looking (for an HD), but a nice simple looking thing with sensible geometry would have been a winnder for the European market, imho.

The tank is a little too "low profile" for me, if I'm being picky. That engine is huge for it's output though.

I had one and besides the weight, it handled really well. What made me sell it was the catalogue of faults not expected on a one year old bike. It pissed me off no end.
