She's resigned :obscene-birdiedoublered:

She met the Queen. Met the king. Then tried to fuck the country.

The so-called "Pillars of Creation" are cool, dense clouds of hydrogen gas and dust in the Serpens constellation, some 6,500 light-years from Earth.

James Webb has given us yet another incredible perspective.

It's just absolutely incomprehensible that that's a galaxy/galaxies, it looks wrong... but somehow just completely amazing.

The bigness is  but even more boggling is that we're looking at what it used to be like. A telescope is a time machine!

As Dazzle has said, that's a very tiny part of our galaxy, the Milky Way. It can't be seen with the human eye and is difficult to see with any telescope you could afford to buy.

All the stars you can see in that picture are in our galaxy. Some are closer to us than the Eagle nebula* and some are farther away but they are all in our galaxy. I have a telescope and camera equipment that can photograph the Eagle nebula but it isn't anywhere near good enough to give you a decent image of the 'Pillars of Creation'.

* The 'Pillars of Creation' in the photo are located in the Eagle Nebula, a tiny area in a tiny area of the night sky. If you want to try and understand the vastness of space, google 'Hubble Deep Field'.

...really big. You might think it's a long way to the chemists but that's just peanuts to space.

Harry Dunn: Anne Sacoolas admits causing crash death.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-n ... e-63328168

She has pleaded guilty to causing death by careless driving as opposed to causing death by dangerous driving and will be sentenced next month.

This incident has been awful for both families. Why Mrs Sacoolas couldn't have held her hands up at the time and said "I made a drreadful mistake and I'm truly sorry" has caused no end of grief to her own and Harry Dunne's families. What a sad human being.

However, she could get time but I doubt (and don't think she should) she will. She should just be made to feel so small she can walk out of court through the gap under the door.

I'm glad that's some kind of 'over' for the Dunn family. Mrs Sacoolas has shown herself to be exactly what she is.

Remember when in the distant past (a few weeks ago) the pound got hammered by "the markets"?

Well it's now the turn of the Japanese Yen which in the last year has depreciated by about 30% against the US dollar.

Sooner or later the euro must get the same treatment by the all powerful US dollar.

It's Trafalgar Day today.

We should all raise a glass to "The Immortal Memory of Lord Nelson and those who fell with him".

Just one week to go before Turkiye opens it's first car plant and starts producing it's very first Turkish car.

https://www.dailysabah.com/business/aut ... zY9gsudQco

Not sure how successful it will be as inflation is out of control and Recep has to raise interest rates soon I think but if the cars (including an all electric model) are competitively priced . . .

Ive been on the Victory. I'm not surprised he fell where he did, someone's nailed a chunk of wood to the deck there. :D
