On bikes with that little power, I wouldn't bother. But some folk like them.

I'll have the Honda, and use it for a bit more than shopping.

I saw one in that colour at a dealer the other week - it's actually really bloody lovely in the flesh.

When the SV650 is the best looking bike followed by the Z650 someone needs a kick in the balls, if I had to I'd buy the Trident, but the OTR price is over £8K, which is what Supermofo paid for his GSX-S 1000.

If you can't have fun with 70bhp, you're doing something very wrong.
That’s not the point, the point is if you can’t find something more fun for the same money then you’re very very dull indeed ;)
It's the rider that makes the bike fun, not the other way round.

I had so much fun on my shopping bike, or pizza delivery bike as we called it.

I'd be quite interested in trying a new SV650 to see what its evolved to if anything? If that failed to impress I suppose I could go back to a MT-07 although the one I had didn't stay very long...

Triumph and Suzuki clearly have strongly differing opinions on how far the mirrors should be from the rider.

If the Honda was that much more powerful then that. Else the SV as always fancied one and they seem to have a wealth of goodies available as well.

Yeah, but the 1979 Z650 was a four and probably did half the MPG.

The original Z650 was a very nice bike to ride, and it looked like a man's bike, the current one is more like a Z440 (I appreciate that's a bit harsh)

Harsh but fair.
I've ridden the old Z650 and it was indeed a very nice bike to ride, especially vs. the 400 twins of the day. It weighed a lot though.
