Abba skylift

I have the Abba lift for my RT works fine but you have to clip the rider pegs up they supplied a paid of reusable zip ties with the RT kit

The lift is very stable and makes it so much easier to work on the bike

Any chance of some photos next time you use the Skylift on your RT please? Interested to how it works in practice.

Are they offroad tyres?

Michelin Road 6s. They do look a little like wets,though!

They'd overheat on track.

Michelin have many tyres designed for track use; these aren't one of them. The clue is in the name, I think...

I've Pilot Road 5's on the ZH2 and they are really good, nearly 5000miles on them, mainly commuting (sometimes at the speed of @wull). They're only just feeling squared off now.

Just a small update.

I've had the use of this for a couple of weeks now and I wonder how I ever managed without it. I had concerns about it taking up too much room,but in effect the opposite is true. Because the stand is on castors,I can move the bike into the centre of the garage and easily work at it from any side,then when I'm finished,just push the lot into the corner,so when I'm not doing anything to the bike it actually takes up less room.

I'm enjoying not having to crawl around on my knees.

Constands had one of their (daily ) mega discount days a month or so back so I treated myself to one of their Constands Bike Lifts, along with adapter plates for the ZX6 and Tuono so I can use with either.- I'd first seen one in the metal as it were at the Pembrey bash last year, blokey with the SDR1290 had one , it looked pretty well made and he was very complimentary about it so that had piqued my interest.
It comes in pieces so there is a small amount of assembly required, but 15 minutes or so after opening the box we had this.




It's sort of like a budget Abba Sky lift, arguably not as well engineered and you can't tip bikes up in the air with it but a useful device nonetheless, easy to use and seems pretty solid.



One spigot goes into the swinging arm pivot, and you get a replacement engine bolt tht contains a sleeve to acct the other spigot





Time will tell how robust it is, but so far so good

It was, and TBH price was what persuaded me, as I already have a hydraulic full-length bike bench and plenty of paddock stands, footpeg stands etc so don't really need one and couldn't justify buying the Skylift with myself , but I thought this would be handy for wheeling a bike about on ( with the wheels out if/ when needed), and is manageable enough to chuck in the van for trackdays or anything else.

It was a 35% discount day, which meant I paid a grand total of £247 delivered for everything- £188 for the stand with one bike-specific adaptor kit, and £59 extra for the additional bike adapter kit

Result. I think barring discounts,the Abba is half a bag of sand or thereabouts.
