On bikes with that little power, I wouldn't bother. But some folk like them.

I'll have the Honda, and use it for a bit more than shopping.

I saw one in that colour at a dealer the other week - it's actually really bloody lovely in the flesh.

Re: Shopping Bikes
When the SV650 is the best looking bike followed by the Z650 someone needs a kick in the balls, if I had to I'd buy the Trident, but the OTR price is over £8K, which is what Supermofo paid for his GSX-S 1000.

It's the rider that makes the bike fun, not the other way round.

Re: Shopping Bikes
I'd be quite interested in trying a new SV650 to see what its evolved to if anything? If that failed to impress I suppose I could go back to a MT-07 although the one I had didn't stay very long...

Triumph and Suzuki clearly have strongly differing opinions on how far the mirrors should be from the rider.

My shopping bike (47hp, Honda 500) took me to Dubrovnik and back.

Re: Shopping Bikes
If the Honda was that much more powerful then that. Else the SV as always fancied one and they seem to have a wealth of goodies available as well.

Re: Shopping Bikes
The original Z650 was a very nice bike to ride, and it looked like a man's bike, the current one is more like a Z440 (I appreciate that's a bit harsh)Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Sun Oct 09, 2022 6:33 pmBuilt in a factory fueled by burning puppies and baby seals.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Sun Oct 09, 2022 6:30 pm Yeah, but the 1979 Z650 was a four and probably did half the MPG.

I've ridden the old Z650 and it was indeed a very nice bike to ride, especially vs. the 400 twins of the day. It weighed a lot though.
