Kawasaki EV

Post by ChrisW »

I reckon they've done a good job with this in both hiding the ugly electtric bits and also not trying too hard to pretend it's got an old-fashioned engine. Just looks like a bike.

It looks like a bike, which is unusual for an EV

It looks like a bike waiting a pipe fitting.

After a lifetime of checking out sporty exhausts,my eyes can't get used to the lack of that part.

Second best behind the Triumph TE-1 IMO, but you can't actually buy one of those so we'll call it even.

Swingarm is a bit shit though.

OK, so this little Kwaka is less than 15PS (based on what category of vehicle it's been registered as) whereas the Trumpet is more like 10 times that.

That's also explain why this Kawasaki has managed to hide it's battery so well. It's really small. :D

It's a nice bike, and it's aimed at the transport end of the market, rather than the leisure market, I hope it sells well.

If there was a leccy bike that could do my 60 mile round commute, and if that sort of range it would also cover an over night at a mates, cruise at 65-70, charge reasonably quickly and wasn't £10k plus I'd be interested.

Nice. I like it. About time the big 4 started getting their act together in the EV market. Still think they're a long way off being a viable form of transport as the tech is changing so fast...
