2002 CBR954 FireBlade White/Blue

Post by Tricky »

This bike has been in our family for the last 12 years- Bought by my younger brother in 2010, he then sold it to my older brother Kev (known by some on here ) 7 years later in 2017 , and I’ve just taken it from Kev in part/Ex for my 890R Duke- I’ve got far too many bikes already some would say, and achy joints too so it’s here to be sold.

26,700 miles from new with every past MOT cert, both original keys, books and receipts for services etc.

As will be seen from the MOT history, it’s done very few miles over the last few years, I think mainly due to Kev being a bit of an old boy and not finding sportsbike riding positions as easy as he used to ( even though this has to be one of the most comfortable sportsbikes out there), and him having 3 or 4 other bikes in the garage.

Even though it’s not done much in the way of miles, it’s been well maintained with the most recent dealer service completed in August 2021 (Farnham Honda) at 26,624 miles, and the one before that by Dyntotech Racing in August 2020 at 25,551 miles

It has a FUEL road-legal end can with removable baffle and Power Commander and has mapped accordingly by Dynotech with the can (142rwhp on their dyno), and some jazzy , err, purple levers fitted- definitely not to my, and I suspect most people’s taste, but they are genuine Pazzo rather than hinghong-noname ones- It also has an Ohlins steering damper and R&G crash protection & paddock stand bobbins fitted
Unfortunately, the original levers have been lost along the way so I don’t have those, but do have the original end-can which will come with the bike.

It was ridden by my younger brother in all weathers so isn’t immaculate, most notably there is some corrosion on brake caliper fasteners and some chips on frame paint from flapping straps on his tank bag ( the bag and bra will also come with the bike if you want it), but it was cleaned fairly regularly, was well maintained, and well, it’s a Honda so isn’t bad for a 20-year-old bike that’s been used IMO

As it’s just sat in his garage unused for the last 12 months, I’ve given it a check-over, cleaned the dust off, and stretched its legs around the local lanes here- It starts runs and rides as it should, and I honestly had forgotten how good these are.
All consumables are in good order, it is MOT’d through to July 2023 and ready to go.

It is now SORNd and won’t be used anymore so mileage won’t go up – it’s just taking up space in the garage at the moment
Located in HP27 Bucks , but I do too-and-fro to Reading a couple of times a week and have a van so could also potentially be viewed or delivered FOC there if preferred.

I'm not really looking for any swaps/ PX (unless it's a decent nick SP Lathe or a bike that's interesting to me) just £££ really so t a straightforward £3,500 of your fine British Pounds will win you this fine piece of Japanese engineering, and doubtless many many hours and miles of fun :)

And finally ( and probably needless to say ), if there is anything else you want to know, about it or if you want more pics or to come and view / kick tyres just let me know

Hmm, that is definitely tempting but realistically no, I've got two big V twins already :) - just need it gone TBH

Tis a nice looking bike in a great colour. 👍 @dern thought you already had one. 🤷🏻‍♂️

When I sort my adventure bike out, I'll be after a road going track bike. 😉

I’ve got a 2007 blade but I love my 929 and always fancied a 954.
