We should get our Rottie Pup in three weeks. Plan B would be one of these expensive mutts but worth it for the looks alone :D

I have a Shepweiler too, wonderful old girl, probably the most loyal dog on the planet but very clingy. She's 58kg so is pretty scary to most folk but in reality she's super chilled. One thing about Shepweilers though, they can literally change colour totally from when they're a few months old till they're 18 months old.

Not mine, but my friend's lunatic rescue dooog. She was rescued in/from Serbia. One ear is a bit battered as she had a tag in there and she sctratched/pulled it out apparently!

Daft as any dog I've met but lovely with it

Meet Chloe

Red (on the right), the newest member of the pack. Came across her a few weeks ago in a neighbouring village, tied to a tree on a 1 metre chain with twine around her neck, no food or water in the 36 degree heat, wound on her ear. Gave her water and went back the next day to feed her but she was gone, turned up again a few days later so I began to feed her (and the other 2 strays) and build up her trust. Long story short, she went into season, someone had the bright idea of chaining her up again (local gypsy), she broke free again, got a message the next morning to say the expats in the village had elected a new mayor who had called the dog catcher. He caught one of the dogs but not Red (dart hit a bone and fell out, leaving her with a limp) so the next day I went up there, put her in the car, off to the vets for sterilising and blood tests (all good) then back to mine for recovery. That recovery period seems to have extended itself indefinitely  The third dog also escaped but hasn't been seen since.
There's quite a few expats in the village, they are the ones who met with the new mayor and said they wanted the dogs gone (exept one).Only one of them lives there full-time, the rest just visit for 2 or 3 weeks maybe 3 times a year, and judging by the amounts they're spending having their houses refurbed they're not short of a few quid. Annoying that they can't club together, buy a couple of dog kennels and spend a few pence a day between them on food. And the one dog that they didn't want taking to the pound is the only one that was caught :?
It won't be long before they're complaining about their cats and chickens going missing, now that there are no strays to keep the jackals away.
The wounds on her neck have healed, though you can still see the indents in her fur.

Two of my favourite vet bills, the scabby old Brindle has just had 3 teeth removed after a huge abscess and the Blue chunk is probably off to the vets for proper eye drops as they mild stuff we've got isn't doing the job.

16 today. Not doing too bad, still thinks he's a puppy.

A few minor gripes:
Eyes are poor
Few teeth left
Occasionally incontinent
'Westie Lung' (incurable gradual deterioration)

Contrary to the usual line, he doesn't answer to the name of 'Lucky'.

Partly because his name's Robbie, but mainly because he's deaf.
