We have one of the copper roses Steven made around the time of his mum's passing. Lovely work and a piece that actually means something.

Thank you.

I have one in the house that was my neighbours'. Turhan and his wife Beysun were very good to me when I came back here after Pat died and I think Steve gave them a rose. Turhan died a couple of years ago and last year Beysun sold the house, preferring to just keep the apartment in Ankara. I can come into the site by their house as a shortcut from the bus stop and a couple of months after the house had been sold I noticed the copper rose in a patio plant pot. Beysun had always kept it in the house on a sideboard. The new owners weren't around (I've still never met them) so I lifted it and if I get the opportunity I'll return it to Beysun.

Steve is very good at what he does and the roses, as a sideline, provided a fair bit of the money we raised for St Catherine's Hospice. About half of the money raised came from people on TRC who were very generous (and bought most of the roses).

We’ve also got a rose.
It’s been on our mantelpiece since we got it.

You'll have to ask him (if you are in touch) if he's still making them, I live in Turkey and Steve lives in the US and works wherever so I don't know if he has the time or the facilities.

It's heartening to know so many people have held on to them.

Trumps made them on TRC, in memory of his mum, some of us donated to a charity and we got a rose.

You can see the care he took on each one, his mum obviously meant a great deal to him.
Funny really, I never met his mum but it’s one of the few things I’d save in a fire. You can’t make anything that beautiful without putting some love into it.

The few who possess real knowledge and can set it into motion of their own hands are the rarest of all.

I’ve got a vague memory, I think at the time I wanted one but never seemed to order it. Life and time got in the way.
If he is still making them, or something similar I would love one, Ive got a favourite memory corner like Ratty.

The owner said it had a habit of biting but oh no I knew better

The poor owner was mortified especially as it was pouring blood onto the pavement but I could only keep reassuring him that it was my fault more than the pups.
Watch that wound for infection, I got what I thought was a minor nick from playing with a rescue dog a few years ago. 5 Days later I was in hospital having 3 tendon flush operations. ANY sign of infection off to A&E!

Stripped and degreased a small bench drill. The parts are drying in the oven while I have a cup of tea.

Turned down a new job, as the package wasn't good enough.

Made a counter offer which they refused, so that's the end of that. Thank god two of the three interviews were on Teams (while working from home), or I'd be well pissed off at the waste of time.

Why advertise it at one level then offer substantially lower.
