I was going to say that you never really heard much about tyre management back in the Bridegstone days, and I can't believe the bikes are leaps and bounds more powerful today then they were when Bridgestone was the chosen one. As for aero and ride height devices - they should be banned. Those items have zero benefit for road going machines, so get rid of them. Electronics have benefitted us, so i don't have so much of a problem with that.

I also suspect the organisers are happy with the current tyre situation as it adds "drama".

There's no easy answer, I suspect. You can look back through rose-tinted glasses at the days when there was a free choice of tyre manufacturers, but inevitably one tyre manufacturer became dominant, and favoured a particular motorcycle manufacturer, so it became a case of which tyre manufacturer won the championship. I'd say the current control tyre works acceptably well, but as Yorick says, Michelin should be told to make tyres that last a whole race distance without appreciable drop-off so that we can actually see riders racing for the whole duration of the race.

Felt really sorry for Aliex Esparago, he'd have likely got a podium and really reduced the gap to Fabio (who was a very lucky boy).
Great to see MIller get the win, he's been threatening for a few rounds now.
Ride of the day had to be Marc though, I haven't looked at the bookies, but I suspect he's favourite for next years' title
