But if ever there was a product intended for human consumption right?
I bet it'd make stellar ice cream.

Re: More Nutters.............
100%. The best diet I ever did was to cut out sugar - I replaced it with eating sugar free peanut butter, cheese and stuff like that!! LOL Dropped a ton of weight in about 8 months!! LOL
Processed sugar can be bad but more for the highs and lows it causes

Cutting carbs was a good one for the wife for loosing weight. It worked a treat bus the counting your chips was a bit extreme. Like how is 13 chips decided was the right level of carbs that night? 13 small chips, large chips or mixed chips.

Thing is that different things work for different people, but the trick is to find something that is sustainable, not a 'diet' as such, but an eating change
Add to that that not all carbs are evil, some are very necessary.

This is the book that got me into the no sugar back then (this is a much upgraded version I suspect as mine was blue and about 20 years ago!!) - as with the books above, very anti sugar but more about addiction that 'proper' science from what I remember. Sadly I lent mine to someone and haven't seen it for years. Might get it again and see what the upgrades are!! LOL

Re: More Nutters.............
Put simply, sugar is addictive.
The mechanism by which sugar causes obesity is that it can prevent messages of satiation (ie that you've eaten enough) from reaching the brain. So you go on eating.

Blimey! There's a blast from the past. Yudkin wrote Pure, White and Deadly 50 years ago. Even more relevant today though as we merrily follow the USA down the path to obesity by hiding sugar in everything. 'Burger? Certainly sir, they come in a 'brioche' bun'. Err...why*?
Strictly speaking, fat does make you fat though, any calories will if you eat enough.
* 'One 38-gram serving of brioche bread has 20 grams of carbohydrates, 3 grams of sugar, and 1 gram of fibre'. So, almost sod all fibre and 8% refined sugar.

Re: More Nutters.............
I'm having this with one of my BiL's who has just been handed a type 2 diabetic membership card, he came to me as I cut carbs last year.
He's all in a flap counting carbs, and trying to find decent keto alternative foodstuffs (there aren't any), trying to work out net carbs from total carbs, my advice to him was just don't piss about, just cut them out all together, no bread, no chips, no spuds, no pasta, no rice, no pastry etc and keep an eye on everything else like milk, sauces etc and just pick up the version with the lowest amount.
I don't tell him that I have a pizza and chips of a weekend and a couple or 4 bottles of beer, but then I cut by choice not because I had to.

They can take our milk, but they will never take our freedom! or something like that.
I fucking love milk, if these useless dickheads try to take milk away from me i'll spray them with some white coloured acid.
Just because they are scared of dying doesn't mean others should be scared of living!
