Organised people. Dispatched my Son to pick up my new exhaust can. My wife to collect a pack of biccies. My wife to plug the camper charging lead in. The sofa delivery people to open the driveway gates and bring the sofa through them and into the house.
Meanwhile, I have secretly been exercising and am now easily weight bearing on the new knee. I'm not letting on about this though and am now loafing on the new settee, ready to dish out more orders!
I also found out we're going to NYC for my 60th next year , but I mustn't let on I know...
After lengthy negotiations with our 17 year old we are going to Pais for my 60th next year -
Shrugs …..

If I'd been entered into the negotiations, we'd have been going to Eastbourne!
Went to Weybridge to see a mate build a Jota engine ( I have never had the opportunity to assemble any engine before). the third tie he has had to do it. Interesting experience - esp as he has just sent a note saying he needs take the cams out as the exhaust value clearances are now all wrong.
So that was the last 3 hours wasted!
Went up on the 1200 Scrambler - which felt oddly gutless after the miles on the Diavel

Took a funeral for the wife of a man who was married to her for 65 years.
Setup another funeral date
Received news of another suicide
Collected wife,
Serious Q, do you have access to counselling when it all gets too much?
In short, very much so. I speak to someone each month and have access to counselling and support. I also have good fellow priests to talk with and we look upwards to Christ for help in our prayer life. It is not easy at times, but as the scripture says "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."
We practice what we preach.
And ClergySupportTrust are awesome in their work as well. I know the CEO and studied with him.
Proverbs 17:9
One who forgives an affront fosters friendship, but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend.
Flown back to France for a couple of weeks. Got given a lift from the airport to our village a by a super-nice Polish guy who lives in France and speaks about 7 languages. Major dude.

I'm in the UK and the countryside never fails to leave me in awe at it's beauty, I absolutely love it, the greenery, the smells, the feeling of peace.
Unfortunately all tempered by the human beings present in this green and pleasant land who manage to turn every populated area into a den of thievery, dishonesty and general wretchedness. A pox on them.
That is one of the very few things I miss. I mean, I adore the mountains here and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. But the English countryside is special. Maybe just cos I grew up in Somerset so we had the levels and the Mendips!! But I do love that bit when I visit

Decided to have one last attempt at Madeleines. I've never succeeded and was convinced I had a decent recipe this time - and no, I didn't use the OOD flour!!
Anyway. I still can't bloody make them Did one lot in a tin and the other in a silicone 'tray'. Both baked exactly the same. Taste lovely but don't look like Madeleines
Mind you. The bread came out ok. A bit solid, but tasty
And the flapjack seems to have worked!! LOL
