Heated grips have stopped working

right my 2013 street triple R 675 heated grips have stopped working. there official triumph ones, any idea how to trouble shoot, fuse (where is the fuse)

Some grips fail through twisting (rh side throttle, lhs pulling the bike onto main stand) or it could be a break at the headstock.

Thanks guys I’ll look into it. I’ve never replaced a fuse. Are they same bike to bike?

Ah, see what you mean- did that fom my phone and I can't open it either above....

I agree with all the other stuff above though, fuses generally speaking blow for a reason, but is certainly the place I'd look first, if its blown replace it and see if it blows again , and if it does (or isn't blown) go from there
Fuses are standard bayonet type that most cars use and you can buy from any petrol station

One side or both?

If one side, it's a broken wire. If it's both it's most likely the fuse.

Well, that I am not 100% sure about, there is a switch on the handle bars the you press and it goes from no light to orange then red with a press of the the button, it would also flash those colours when the bike’s key was inserted and turn on. But none of that anymore. Fuses will be here Friday, so I’ll try. Hope it is just a fuse

If not the fuse and no busted wires likely the controller although some OEM grips when one goes the other wont work. Test each grip individually with direct 12v feed if both work and fuse is ok likely the controller. Just replace it with a simple on off switch at least you will still have heated grips then controllers are normally near as much as the grips cost wise

So my box of fuse’s come today. There large car ones

So anyways did not let that stop me, I removed another 10amp fuse and swapped it and they worked. Now need to order the right fuse

Right, so new fuse in, light on the heated grips work now. But no heat.

At the start of July I had new handle bars fitted, the lights on the heat switched worked but never tested to see if they got hot. Never even thought too, they did work well at some point.

Could they have been fitted wrongly or something else???

The fuse will be prior to the controller so obviously ok. Most oem grip won't work if one is disconnected. Follow the wires from the grips and check both are plugged in.

So the triple has been in the garage on trickle charge. On the way to work notice the lights on the heated grips have stopped working, guessing the fuse has gone again. Weekend I’ll checked they are all plugged in but quite lost as to why it blow the fuse. I feel this may be a take it to a shop job.
