My mate works for the Beeb and the archive packages they update regularly for all of the Royals 'just in case' must be pretty dogeared by now.

Greenman wrote: Thu Sep 08, 2022 8:57 am Has anyone seen the episode of Red Dwarf where criticism is banned so all the ships positions are incorrectly filled by people with the wrong skills, that is where we are now in the UK. We aren't allowed to criticise anyone/anything so jobs are being filled by people with the wrong skills!

As Jackyjoll says, soon we shall be employing people who 'identify' as something to fill the jobs.

I'm working on that one for you already...;)

Got the urge to produce again now after about a year hiatus and am going to upgrade my setup now i have a few quid to spend. Been scrimping and scraping for ages to finally have about £800 spare to sort out my setup. Need new PC internals build and the mixer as mentioned. Bet you can't wait to hear the outcomes...;) :wtf:

I've been trying to find a reliable news article and failing. Apparently, the fracking ban has been lifted and a load of me licenses issued.

Might not be true though.

And how does this stack up with the UK's commitment to the Paris Climate Change Accord, one wonders?

And while I'm here, here's Martyn Turner's (Irish Times 9th Septemner 2022) take on it -

A quick Google says UK 19%, Ireland 12.5%.

Except for multi-nationals which can bring their worldwide profit over and pay about 4.5%.

Sounds like a win for Ireland, as long as they can keep it like that.

With Russians calling for WW3 and many western leaders gathering in London at the same time I'd want the Chinese to be there as a human shield.

A budget has been announced next week to remove the NI rise Boris introduced, I expect to see Starmer fully supporting the Tories removing this tax he opposed.

Huge typhoon (equivalent to cat 4 hurricane I think) threatening Japan.

Nearly two million people in Japan have been asked to seek shelter before Typhoon Nanmadol, national broadcaster NHK said, as the weather agency issued a rare “special warning” about the powerful storm, which is expected to make landfall on Sunday.
