Maybe, but it must be very difficult to be able to feel that margin between as fast as possible and in the gravel when you've not ridden competitively for so long.

This does seem to be a bit of a new Marc. He genuinely seems to realise this is probably last chance saloon and he can't throw himself down the road willy nilly. Arm aside his vision issues he's admitted to being scared about which is normal but rare for Marc to admit. Thing is a Marc turned down slightly is probably capable of a title fight I think. If he can be consistent which was one of his big strengths whilst toning down the need to win even when he is 18th he could still be a champion. Consistency across a season seems to be a weak spot for most of the current title contenders as evidenced by Mir's championship.

MM has always shone precisely because he was quite prepared to throw the bike at the stands if it wasn't what he needed to win. That lack of self preservation was a real tool in his armoury.It remains to be seen if he can temper that wild riding style and use his talent to lose a win on the day for the sake of a championship.

I hope he's back to something approaching his previous self,but life has ways of teaching us all to be circumspect.

Yeah the Brit boy is doing pretty well this early on and showing it's not completely garbage... it's going to be very interesting to see if he can beat even just a few bikes over the weekend, after all both Dovi and Morbi properly struggle to get out of last.

That’s a fair amount, where the ulna joins on to the wrist there is a natural 11 degree drop, I had mine manipulated back into place after a fracture and it’s now flat and that looks like a huge difference so I can only imagine 30+ degrees of difference.

In which direction? I mean, did they pin/plate it wrong? or do the commentators mean it has 34 degrees less movement than it should?

I don't really understand 34 degrees 'out of place' - but I've not found anything to say exactly what he had 'done' (maybe didn't look hard enough!)
