Marquez is Back At Aragon
Woo hoo. Let's hope he gets up to speed quickly. The others will be hoping not 'too' quickly

I bet Fabio hopes MM gets in the way of the hordes of Ducatis.

Re: Marquez is Back At Aragon
I really hope Marc can come back near the front and battle for wins. I can't see him being dominant like before but be great if he can get in the title fight next year.

I reckon he'll pace himself rather than get knackered half way. But might set a flier in qually

Maybe, but it must be very difficult to be able to feel that margin between as fast as possible and in the gravel when you've not ridden competitively for so long.

Re: Marquez is Back At Aragon
This does seem to be a bit of a new Marc. He genuinely seems to realise this is probably last chance saloon and he can't throw himself down the road willy nilly. Arm aside his vision issues he's admitted to being scared about which is normal but rare for Marc to admit. Thing is a Marc turned down slightly is probably capable of a title fight I think. If he can be consistent which was one of his big strengths whilst toning down the need to win even when he is 18th he could still be a champion. Consistency across a season seems to be a weak spot for most of the current title contenders as evidenced by Mir's championship.

Aragon MotoGP: Marc Marquez: ‘The objective this weekend is to build for the future, excited to return to MotoGP’
"Well, what can I say? I am very excited to return to MotoGP this weekend, especially at such a special track for me like Aragon," said Marquez.
"The objective this weekend is not to go out and fight straight away, it is to build up everything and prepare well for the future. Build myself, the bike, everything.
"Misano was good but the race weekend will be different, there’s more intensity and less time to rest so it will be a different kind of challenge.
"I have been doing a lot of recovery work and continuing in the gym as well as riding a bike again before this weekend. I am very happy to be back!"

Re: Marquez is Back At Aragon
MM has always shone precisely because he was quite prepared to throw the bike at the stands if it wasn't what he needed to win. That lack of self preservation was a real tool in his armoury. It remains to be seen if he can temper that wild riding style and use his talent to lose a win on the day for the sake of a championship.Supermofo wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 9:56 amThis does seem to be a bit of a new Marc. I hope he's back to something approaching his previous self, but life has ways of teaching us all to be circumspect.

Re: Marquez is Back At Aragon
Right then, we may as well call this the Aragon thread for the weekend.
Session 1 underway now. According to MM he's got a 1% chance of a podium....

Re: Marquez is Back At Aragon
Yeah the Brit boy is doing pretty well this early on and showing it's not completely garbage... it's going to be very interesting to see if he can beat even just a few bikes over the weekend, after all both Dovi and Morbi properly struggle to get out of last.

Re: Marquez is Back At Aragon
They just mentioned again that MM's arm had been 34 degrees out of place.
Just thinking. What sort of crap surgeon does such a shit job?
Wonder if there'll be any medical negligence claim?

Marquez might even have finished the session at the front if not for a moment in the last corner - blimey.

Re: Marquez is Back At Aragon
That’s a fair amount, where the ulna joins on to the wrist there is a natural 11 degree drop, I had mine manipulated back into place after a fracture and it’s now flat and that looks like a huge difference so I can only imagine 30+ degrees of difference.

Re: Marquez is Back At Aragon
In which direction? I mean, did they pin/plate it wrong? or do the commentators mean it has 34 degrees less movement than it should?
I don't really understand 34 degrees 'out of place' - but I've not found anything to say exactly what he had 'done' (maybe didn't look hard enough!)
