Re: BSB Snetterton
That weekend had a few firsts
First time I've seen a qualifying session with half of the track completely soaking wet & the other half totally dry
First time I've seen riders overtake the safety car before iit's in the pit lane :
Commentators said yesterday that PBM are looking for different riders next year, not sure who would be after that ride.
Hope that Kennedy gets a decent Superbike ride for next season.

Re: BSB Snetterton
That was odd, it looked worse from one angle than the other. When one went, they all went, I wouldn't like to have been the person who had to decided who got past before it got down the pit lane.Bustaspoke wrote: ↑Sun Sep 11, 2022 9:59 pm First time I've seen riders overtake the safety car before iit's in the pit lane :

Re: BSB Snetterton
You'd assume PBM will be bringing something else next year. The Ducati have been utter garbage overall. I don't think Josh, Sykes or Tommy are bad riders, but they sure as heck look it at the momentBustaspoke wrote: ↑Sun Sep 11, 2022 9:59 pm That weekend had a few firsts

Re: BSB Snetterton
The Ducati is a rocketship in WSBK, maybe they just need some factory parts (yeah I know the electronics are all different).

Re: BSB Snetterton
I'd assume it's 99% electrics holding it back. It's a quick bike. But none of those 3 are mugs. If it could work, they'd have got it there by now.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Sun Sep 11, 2022 10:07 pm The Ducati is a rocketship in WSBK, maybe they just need some factory parts (yeah I know the electronics are all different).
I'll bet he's back on Kawasaki next season for his bikes. Riders, who knows

IIRC BSB bikes can't be tuned.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Sun Sep 11, 2022 10:07 pm The Ducati is a rocketship in WSBK, maybe they just need some factory parts (yeah I know the electronics are all different).

Re: BSB Snetterton
There was nothing wrong with the outright speed of the Ducat,Jackson struggled to get past Sykes. The problem seems to be elsewherei. It's not often that you see Brookes on the floor but it's happened a few of times recently.Yorick wrote: ↑Sun Sep 11, 2022 10:36 pmIIRC BSB bikes can't be tuned.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Sun Sep 11, 2022 10:07 pm The Ducati is a rocketship in WSBK, maybe they just need some factory parts (yeah I know the electronics are all different).
Regarding tuning, whilst you have to run a control ECU you can certainly tune the chassis,I think it's a Kalex swingarm in Glen Irwin's Honda & one of the Japanese riders is employed as a development rider.Maybe the swingarm or linkage is the weak point on the Ducati?

Re: BSB Snetterton
Good racing in all the classes. Young Johnny Garness crowned champion in the British Talent Cup. He's one to watch for the future.
Billy McConnell getting wiped out in Superstock and losing the championship lead and first class win to Davy Todd didn't appear to amuse him,it was pretty easy to lipread the Aussie as he gave his opinion to Lewis Rollo, who took him out.
Jack Kennedy in similar dominent form took the title in the Supersport. I really hope he gets a decent ride on a superbike,he's a class act on the 600. Alastair Seeley was another who was a great 600 rider but never shone on a big bike outside of the NW200.
Bradley Ray is definitely the man on form on the superbikes, but who knows what the showdown will bring. Was it last year O'Halloran was well ahead of the game, then was whipped by his teammate in the finale. Hard to swallow all that work and those results wiped out. I don't know if I'd be a massive fan of the showdown format,if I was a rider.
