We were all hoping for another King William.

Re: HM the Queen on her way out?
Was bandied around he'd be George VII, so I'm pleased he stuck with the identifiable name..

I saw Liz Truss say that, but there's no other word?
Slip of the tongue maybe? Or the other kind of slip!

Might not be ....oops...just announced...it will be.
I will admit that when I heard, even though I knew it was coming I burst into tears for the first time since my father died.

Who knew Liz Truss could kill with one touch of the hand?
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

The paradox of who would send the the Queen a telegram at the age of 100 remains unsolved.

Funny you should say that, when it showed the picture of her and Truss, Mrs W said that Liz R looked really poorly and that her hand was all bruised from a cannula.MingtheMerciless wrote: ↑Thu Sep 08, 2022 8:41 pm Who knew Liz Truss could kill with one touch of the hand?

His "Randy Andy" antics aside, he served his country well when wearing his uniform...

Re: HM the Queen on her way out?
My Son is a transport manager and recently passed his Class 2. Yesterday afternoon the word went out in the transport industry for everyone to be on standby as there is going to be a lot of kit that will need moving about for the state funeral.
Last night he gets a call like a fighter scramble and he gets 10 of his lorries with him and 9 other drivers heading down to Wiltshire to pick up stuff to bring back to London. He's still out, apparently parked up by hyde park waiting to get the load dropped. I said you've been out a long time, are you okay on the tacho? He said its been made tacho exempt as its all part of Operation London Bridge!
