Because of the lead time of 12 weeks (if I was lucky) I landed up with a pair of sidi mid adventure 2. Gore Tex and comfy for daily commuting

.. and the rest. :( I ordered mine in Feb last year, got them in October. Saying that, well worth the wait, super comfy and totally dry. The Sympatex
waterproof lining is much than the Gore-Tex boots I've worn over the years (including the Daytona Evo which I also think are an excellent WP boot)

I went for the Altberg Bandog as I preferred the walking boot appearance. Looking at the Altbeg website, they don't do the Bandog anymore, the closest alternative being the Hogg All Weather Microlite.

I've also got a pair Revit Discovery Gore-Tex boots which are comfy and dry, the only issue is I have chunky calves and the velcro just about meets to close the boot.

Over the last 20 plus years i have had 2 pair of Alpinestars SMX Plus Goretex. First pair lasted over a decade and were still waterproof when i binned them as everything else had worn away. Second pair i still use and are waterproof despite the soles starting to go through ....wore them tis weekend while wet riding and still dry inside

I also have a pair of Altberg Defender boots which arent listed as waterproof but recently spent 3-4 hours in torrential rain and feet were still dry inside but i do keep them with a decent layer of polish on them

Another recommend for the Alpinestars SMX Plus - warm, dry, still look new and like slippers when walking.

eg

Those prices are about £100 cheaper than the last ones I saw for Daytona boots. I wonder why - especially with the pound so weak at the moment?

I have some alpinestars ones that are Triumph branded. Goretex and have proved to be waterproof. Best of all they cost 60 quid on eBay
