Seems to have an idler wheel in the drive chain, which is fairly odd - for a motorbike anyway!Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Wed Sep 07, 2022 4:25 pm It has less effect on chain tension if they're close together, which in turn effects how the bike behaves on and off the throttle, looking at it the chain run is pretty awful

Looks like there's two - can just about make out a lower one too.Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Wed Sep 07, 2022 4:30 pmSeems to have an idler wheel in the drive chain, which is fairly odd - for a motorbike anyway!Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Wed Sep 07, 2022 4:25 pm It has less effect on chain tension if they're close together, which in turn effects how the bike behaves on and off the throttle, looking at it the chain run is pretty awful

My Husqvarna 610 had a nylon bush that did this job, it was fucking hopeless and just made tensioning the chain a pain, I wasn't sad when it fell off.Mr.

I had to look up as i thought the Foale design was similar to the Tesi and Vyrus which followed later. I couldnt place where i had seen it before till you mentioned HossackLe_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Wed Sep 07, 2022 8:43 am It's nicely made, weird that he credits Tony Foale as inspiration for what is clearly a Hossack front end, I don't remember Tony ever designing a bike with that type of front suspension.

Re: ENGINEERING PORN: CHRIS COSENTINO’S DUCATI HYPERMONO
as mentioned above he has idler wheels on the top and bottom runs, so he can tune the pro/anti squat independently of sprocket to swingarm pivot position. He previous ones had this too. the cases are billet, insane amount of work gone into the engine. be good to see what power and weight it ends up with.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Wed Sep 07, 2022 4:25 pmIt has less effect on chain tension if they're close together, which in turn effects how the bike behaves on and off the throttle, looking at it the chain run is pretty awful
