Obviously it looks shit and he's a mental.
In practice it must ride like crap (top heavy?), rattle like a dustcart, and flap about like a washing line. That would properly spoil any enjoyment of riding, for me.

There must be more than few nutters around though - in the 90s 'M&P' built a whole business on motorcycling moron's desire for faux carbon and piss-yellow anodising. They missed a trick with the swords and ammo apparently.

There’s a bloke in the next village to us with a scooter of some description that has more and more crap hung on it every time I see him.
Wears 1 piece leathers and tops out at a wobbly 20mph as it’s do heavy, it’s about the width of a car now, how he doesn’t get pulled I don’t know.
I’ll try to get a picture next time I’m stuck behind him

He'd be hard to collect with those swords within his reach.
I'm up to my neck in work, but a quick google found this https://vcresearch.berkeley.edu/news/st ... 20-seconds
Not sure if that's the one I used for an assignment back when I was doing a course.

Ta, the fringes seem to attract a particular sort. Deranged anti establishment preppers mostly.

I'll read it after I've put the recently arrived pallet of baked beans in the survival room.

I'm only partly joking about the beans. There's always plenty of food, bottled water etc for when the ferries are cancelled.

The thing that always raises an eyebrow with longevity of goods laid up pending the apocalypse is the 'use by' on canned fish. It seems to be way longer than stuff like beans, toms etc. Seems odd because uncanned fish goes off faster than anything (apart from baguettes :D ). I guess you'd need to like sardines a lot.

I wonder how many preppers remember to stockpile tin openers, 'cause you can bet your bottom dollar it'll go walkies three days after Armageddon.

In the USA they'll just shoot the tops off with an assault rifle or attack them with a Crocodile Dundee sized knife. 🤔 Wonder what the use by date is on ammo?

I don't.

But I did read about a US study of university lecturers.

People were shown short video clips and had to decide whether they thought someone was a good lecturer.

Shorter and shorter clips.

Then video only, no sound.

People were making their mind up after three seconds.

I might have misunderstood, but I don't think that linked study had anything to do with who is trustworthy, just who seems? So Humans are really good at making a judgement, but is it an accurate one?

I might've missed something though.

Person one: You mean you judged me based on my accent?
Englishman: No, I judged way before that.

I take it as you can have an instant mistrust of someone and you're wise to pay attention to that feeling. After that everyone is on probation as regards trust.

I've had instant dislikes to some who've become lifelong friends and on the flip side, instantly took to some who've turned out to be snakes.

Maybe that makes me a poor judge of character, but these days I'm way slower to form an opinion.

It doesn't look safe to me.

If I have any soft luggage or anything bungeed on I spend half the time I'm riding pappering my breeks it'll end up in the wheel / chain. Surely some of that crap will end up in the wrong place and do him a mischief. I bet it wouldn't pass an MoT like that.

Yeah I've had bungee cords come loose and make a proper mess, so feck knows what having an ammo belt or a couple of raccoons tails in the rear wheel does.

I was always told so long as it’s stored in a dry area modern ammo is fine for 50+ years, won’t worry the Americans I know who stick a box in every week with the shopping, you know just in case 🤣

Rub the tin tops on an abrasive surface such as concrete or paving, when the lip wears away you're in.

A lad across the way works minimum wage for a local security firm. He must have watched Ghost Busters or summat :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Maybe I am too judgmental but the pictures of that GS immediately reminded me of this old Gary Larson cartoon:
