You're all a fucking bundle of joy !

I've done my right hand before, this is the left... It wasn't a straight through break, only a 40% or so fracture through it.

I'm not worried as such because there's sod all i can do about it. I can only sit here with the cast and wait and see where we go from there. It is obviously a little restricting and i feel a bit of a burden as things like washing dishes is impossible... but most stuff i can manage and it's not like i need the hand for work at the moment.

So we'll just get on with things and see how it plays out.

I've done both wrists.

On one of them I also cut my cast off early so I could go back to work - the hospital doctor refused to see me at that point because he said I was a moron, he literally asked me to leave when he'd seen that I'd cut it off.
Luckily it healed ok for me - although I get a really bad pain in my left wrist occasionally but I don't think that is because of the scaphoid.

I remember a few folk who raced with a cast on. The hardest thing was fooling the scrutineers ;)

Wasn't there a story about Barry Sheene taking a set of 'ace' bars to get his wrists set at the right angles?

Got one. However, I'd be aiming right at a neighbors house so that's a no-no.

Installed a new built in fridge freezer.

Fixed it into the cabinet, fixed the doors on....good job yes?

Then I noticed one of the fridge shelves wasn’t level. On trying to get it out I found it had been rammed in missing the support but piercing the plastic fridge casing.

So a wasted bloody afternoon and no doubt a world of pain waiting tomorrow when I try to get the unit replaced.

Today I plumbed in my new sooper dooper hose pipe and took a spur off the pipe to enable a pipe outside the garage. And all pipes were buried under the picon, so keeping it all smart. Used about 30m of water pipe to plumb it all in. Now have 3 working hose pipes

Took my wife to A&E. She has had back pain for a few weeks but it escalated last night. I think she may have kidney stones. It felt so wrong just dropping her off and not going in with her. :(

Took my SoperComuterScooter for a MOT which it passed. Then got a call to pick my wife up from the hospital. She's still in. Pain but at least it's nothing more sinister. All in all, it's turned out to be a good day!

Finally got through to customer services to report the buggered fridge freezer. They’ll call back within 24 hours to tell me what’s going to happen. That’s in spite of me telling them my wife’s medicine needs to be kept refrigerated. Not impressed.

My wife then roped me in to tidying out the kitchen cupboards. 2 full bin bags of out of date packets/jars later you can actually see what’s in the cupboards. She’s a bit of a hoarder.
