My current car is £320 (I think), £651 for an extra 100 bhp and 4wd does feel like a waste of money, plus it'll cost more to insure and be thirstier, so I think I'll stick with what I've got, here it is for anyone interested

That does seem like a lot of tax for not a lot of performance, for me the choice would be between evo or standard and not that in-between version.

Loads of cars from 2017- on have reasonable VED but they also have a luxury tax of £350 on too for five years if they cost more than £40k new. Stupid rule especially when you can spend £40k on many ‘normal’ cars especially now.

Agreed. Probably ran it himself for a few days and no battery flattening happening with regular use, so will punt it out and take a chance its the same for the next owner...
