Spent a pleasant couple of hours on the SV650 earlier.I fitted a new YSS rear shock the other week & I'm still messing around with suspension settings, blatting around the 'B' roads & single track lanes in a lazy V twin stylee, places where my Street Triple's performance & handling would be wasted.
I go to the Isle of Man next week, booked on the ferry with the Street Triple, but I might take the SV instead.

Went for an early morning ride on some local byways before the bobble hats emerge, surprising how lush and overgrown some of them are. After having bigger 4 strokes for greenlaning the tiny kdx is ridiculously easy going, I changed the rear sprocket from a 49 down to a 44 to keep the front wheel on the ground and make it a bit less frantic on tarmac between lanes.

Took a break from early morning riding to chill and watch the boats for a while. Lazy Sunday. 8-)

Went out with the eldest on his shiny Zx636 for a couple of hours on the Norfolk Coast roads. Lots of traffic and cyclists everywhere so a bit limited on fun till i managed to find some quieter roads. The boy is coming on well and improving as well as getting more confident in his riding but he prefers me to lead as he is self conscious about thinking he is being "assessed" if i am behind him. Suits me as he rides to his own pace and doent push to keep up if i decide to have a play

He hates having a phot taken about as much as i do so sneaky shot as we got ready to set off ;)

It isn't!! Not sure why not :o I couldn't get both feet flat on the floor on the 390, but on this they are flat and my knees are bent :o :o

If this is what you raced, HTF did you do that? Where did you put your knees?!!! LOL

The Monster 600/620 is pretty tiny but that was one of the things I loved about it... it didn't feel like you were trying to manoeuvre a truck.

It's proper weird for me. I've only ever ridden huge bikes and the 390.

Oh, and one session on a GSXR600 at Oulton where I nearly flipped it cos I had only ridden Blackbirds up till then and literally 'threw' it into the first corner

Probably a good thing I'm on a go slow and relearning to ride or I'd be seriously hurling this dinky toy all over the place

I thought I'd timed it right this morning, getting to my favourite shop in Bourg St Maurice (Cornish Pasty shop in France :D :D ) early enough so all was dry and the forecast suggested that I'd be leaving before the rain!! LOL

Then it hurled it down whilst I was there :o :o

Luckily the rain had pretty much stopped as I left to come back home and the roads were drying. Then, I rode into a monsoon :o Well, I think a cloud caught me and overtook me   Luckily it stopped by the time I got to the road up my mountain, and the last 7 hairpins were quite dry and fun :D The right hand ones before then were a bit dodgy - big rainbows of diesel :o :o

Anyway, the bike didn't suffer from Ducati-itis, I didn't fall off it/cause it to slip over and got home safely in a smidge damp!! :bblonde: :bblonde:

It’s horrendous, struggling out of Clark’s round Hislops and even out the hairpin up the start finish, it’s like shagging your missus from behind, leaning down to her ear and whispering “your sisters a better ride than you”………..bucking bronco 👀
