Wow... they've gone up even more... I sold mine to B.. back in the day for £4000. He then sold it for nearly £10k..... now, it'd be a £15k bike !!

Prices are still crazy - I was in a main dealer the other day and they had the exact same bike as my lowly MT07, maybe six months older and a few more more miles, for seven hundred quid more than I paid for it new nearly five years ago…!

and a different front end, and the wheels... so apart from the shock, wheels, forks, yokes, brakes, ..... it's the same

Aside from that exposed belt (imagine the damage a stone chip would do) and clutch, I like that.

I like bikes that have had all the crap taken off - who doesn't? - but this isn't really super different enough to be that special IMO.

The exposed belt is just asking for trouble, it may be super edgy but it's just aft of the front wheel and that short mudguard ...

As a yoot I had edgy bellmouths on the carbs of my streetbike. Carb servicing would include removing chaff from the fields and bees that had been sucked in. And eventually a holed piston.

What does it cost to stick a couple of belt covers on it? Madness not to. Not entirely sure about the megaphone zorst, but the rest of it looks fine. It might even have a halfway decent riding position.

Just noticed that they've converted it to a monoshock by the expedient of leaving the RH shock off, and not providing a fixing point on the swingarm. Not sure about that, at all.

More than a few quid, if they want to keep the theme they'd need to be polycarbonate or glass

But peanuts compared to the cost of an engine rebuild if a stone got caught in a belt. Anodised ali would do the job.

I had a chunk of the mesh over a bell mouth break off and wedge itself under a carb slide...

I discovered this as I throttled off up a slip road to find a both lanes blocked by a double queue of HGVs being diverted to Operation Stack on the M20!

Fortunately I had the presence of mind to flick the kill switch when the bike didn't slow down as I closed the throttle. Fortunately, I was on two cylinders so I made it home by pulling the offending plug cap off and riding back on one cylinder.
