Berd Spokes
The LBS took delivery of these today. Kevlar/plastic spokes by Berd. Supposedly save 200g or so off a wheel compared to normal spokes. You have to use a grinding bit to smooth out your hub holes so hub shell warranty is voided. Apparently the build and tensioning process is a three day job to allow the spokes to settle after building and tensioning.

Re: Need Spokes
TBH, I could save that by taking a dump before I ride - and eating less in general ....

Re: Berd Spokes
Apparently they do, they’re ideal for XC and trail stuff and as it’s weight off the wheel it’s more noticeable. They also make the wheel a little more flexy which as a lighter rider I think helps with edge grip.
