I saw a car with a Fake Taxi sticker the otherday, had to laugh. Then remembered I'm not supposed to know what it is if the wife is around!

Are the illuminated exits and light and rain sensors essentially the windows?

That extras list is why I walked away from the VIto, I just got fed up trying to work out which combination of packs would give me what I wanted.

It's why I bought a new Crafter rather than a Sprinter. That and Mercedes wanted £2k for a leather steering wheel.

So is this a similar situation to where we have watched and enjoyed season 1 with 6 episodes of a very good mystery/crime drama and we are waiting for season 2 to be shown.

Re: New car day... the end of the Saga...
I'm hoping not. I hope i collect it in the morning, it works perfectly and apart from the odd snippet and pic, it just does exactly what it's supposed to do, well, until many years. If that's how it all plays out, then that's ace with me. We'll have the mini-adventure down to the Alps in a few weeks time i expect, unless the wife really really hates it... But that's about it.

All I can do is quote the late, great Samuel Clemens: "The report of my death was an exaggeration".
(Sometimes quoted erroneously as "...greatly exaggerated" or "...grossly exaggerated".)

I used to put a piece of cloth on the chock before inserting the bike. It's a lot easier picking the bit of cloth of the tyre when the bike is in the open as opposed to trying to yank the bike backwards with restricted headroom !weeksy wrote: ↑Thu Aug 04, 2022 6:43 amAye, that's the plan matey. It's the same as most mates use and same essentially as what's on my ERDE trailer that's now listed for sale. It'll do the job nicely. The only problem comes with hot sticky tyres and things can get a little stickycheb wrote: ↑Thu Aug 04, 2022 6:39 amI've one similar to this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264016044142 ... Only think I want really is a front wheel chock for the zx6, @Couchy mounted his on a piece of ply which seems a good idea.
Then possibly 2 similar but MTB versions.

Or similar.
Research needed.
Push the bike in and it'll stay upright while you strap it down. It doesn't cope well with narrow tyres, that's 1980s trail bike narrow, 2.75".

I’ve stuck carpet to my chock to save the tyre sticking to it and making getting it off difficultJody wrote: ↑Fri Aug 05, 2022 8:17 amI used to put a piece of cloth on the chock before inserting the bike. Chock arrived today.
Van collection tomorrow then it's straight off to auto electrician to get the super head unit installed and parking sensors done.

Sounds good, it won't be long before you are regularly thinking 'I'm so glad I bought a van'.
