War will drag on for a long while yet, potentially years.

Winter will be pretty painful as Western Europe struggles with gas supplies and gas/oil prices. However to some extent this will be the breaking point. If W.E. manages and weens itself off of Russian gas and oil then it'll come out stronger if poorer from it. In theory it should see W.E. invest in alternative hopefully greener energy which is in a bonus and needs to be done at some point.

Russia will be gambling that W.E will collapse under a winter with no fuel and come crawling to the negotiating table. In the meantime they'll be talking up supplying China and India with the energy that used to go to Europe. However from what I've heard this isn't straight forward and would take years as there just isn't the supply chain for this yet so it's not the done deal Russia says it is. Plus China isn't looking economically in a good state at the moment and things could go very wrong there.

But really I don't think anyone knows what happens next. It's all just a big shit sandwich and we are currently chewing our way through it with no idea how big it is yet.

Thankfully China is as dependent on us buying their exports as we are, they will not want to rock the boat. A new cold war where China's only suppliers and customers are Russia and its small band of friends won't be good for them.
Doesn't mean it won't happen and the CCP will use any method to stop civil unrest, including wiping out China's other government in exile.

That's rather a leap of faith. They were prepared to shut industry down through lockdowns. The civil unrest thing is probably their biggest fear and, with some banks on the verge of collapse there's fear that there will be a run on the biggest state bank. In order to stop people queueing/gathering to get cash out of some banks they've resorted to systematically revoking covid status of customers to try and prevent them leaving their homes. Kicking off a winnable but damaging war as a distraction isn't beyond the government if their position is threatened. It's not that uncommon a tactic. Just have to hope they stop at sabre-rattling and 'military exercises'.

It is a leap of faith but if they can restore exports the unrest may go away. What I don't know is how many western companies have already exited China due to covid and Ukraine, it might be too late to go back and China doesn't have enough food or energy to support itself.

As I understand ir a lot of China's problems are related to banks having lent too much secured on property, much of which is either not built or not finished. One bank has gone tits up, bigger ones are seriously worried, and a nationwide run on all banks is a serious risk. Taiwan is a distraction for the Chinese people, and a good excuse for martial law if necessary.

This is the real world situation - and why China is not weighing in on the opportunity. It needs the west for it's wealth. It will be happy to rock the boat in the Far East - Taiwan , building islands etc - because it is far away enough from Europe and the US.
The bonus is that Russia will slowly become indebted to China - and hence become a "puppet"

I'll tell you once I've interpreted Nostradamus's writings. It may take me some time, possibly until after whatever is going happen has happened.

Don't worry, most of the interpretations of Nostradamus are. after the event, sometime centuries after

Yes, Pelosi's visit really rattled China's cage. That's some serious over-reaction going on right now.

Judging by a couple of Chinese citizens interviewed on camera, the government is justified in threatening Taiwan. Of course they may be a slightly biased sample.

Yes, freedom of speech and acceptance of alternative world-views is richly endorsed by the Chinese government.
