Re: RCM-500
The silencers (let's be honest, they won't silence anything) are a bit of an anachronism, but the headers are very nice.
I like this one

I can see why @Skub likes it…….there’s no airbox

Re: RCM-500
I do think they could have reimagined the original clocks a bit better.
The dials are my most memorable feature of the big kat.

Re: RCM-500
I don't have any history with Katanas and (quite frankly) didn't get all the fuss about them back in the day, but as reimaginings/updates go that's definitely one of the better ones. I actually like the exhausts and the fact that there's one each side - it gives balance. Everything has been done well and they've used top kwoll tackle. Thumbs up from me.

Re: RCM-500
It has a purposeful look about it. But, not keen on the clocks and the headlight. I know it's a nod to the prior years model, just think it cheapens the overall finish. That said I used to drool over the original Katana.

I like that too.

Re: RCM-500
The original 550/650/750/1100 Katanas are a GS or GSX in a frock, the 1000 Katana is a 1000cc GSX1100 in a frock with slide carbs in some markets, some also had wire wheels that were a lot lighter than the cast ones

The article doesn't clarify, but I got the impression it was their own work.

Re: RCM-500
Pretty sure I've seen that one before.
Apart from the open bellmouths and non silencers I love it.
The tail unit is a huge improvement on the looks of the old Katanas.
I've always had a soft spot for the old Katanas personally after having a poster of the range on my wall when I was a kid.
