The rumor is Suzuki are going to stop making them, they don't meet the next Euro standard for emissions and they don't sell enough to warrant the R&D for a new model.

It's going nowhere! The only bike I could think of as an upgrade would have been the MT-10 which I love. But I was on the petrol pump next to one last night and they just don't do it for me anymore. In my eyes the 09 looked better and lighter!
When I get my knee replaced I know i'm not going to be able to ride this for a while, so I'll probably get another sh300 and I'll probably keep the scoot as the main winter hack if we get a bout of bad weather and salty roads etc.
This MT-09 is epic!! I really don#t understand why everyone else hasn't got one. It's surely the best bike out there today!

the XSR900 is the same, but with the cool factor of a pseudo retro vibe going on. I'm not rushing out to buy one currently.... but next bike... yeah i think it'll be an XSR900 again.

I did really like the MT07 but never gelled with it, as I did find a few things I didn't like with it. The MT-09 addresses those issues and gets the glittering prize!
There's something about KTMs, and BMWs, I get drawn to, but, the last F800 aside, they don't like me! So I'm sticking with Jap bikes, until I don't!

I left work early yesterday and the roads were surprisingly empty. I'd changed the rider more to A setting for no reason other than why not. I got to a set of lights that were red and when they went green there was nothing ahead of me. As I dropped into 2nd gear I decided to nail it and go through the gears using the quick shifter!
A burst of acceleration here and there is one thing, but actually stretching the legs of a bike is something completely different and also something I rarely do, or get the chance to do on the roads I ride on! Man, that brings the horizon in quick and gets into 3 figures quick too!
Being honest, I just don't need that kind of performance from a bike and God knows what you lot do with even more of it! That said, it is amazing fun and the howl from the previously thought quiet exhaust was something else. Every time I ride this bike I just think its amazing!

I kinda regret getting the MT-09 instead of the XSR900, especially the yellow speed block colourway.

It occurred to me that despite having a lot of time in my hands here on holiday, it never once occurred to me to consider selling thMT09?
I was going to buy a scoot to use during my recovery but decided to junk the top box and rack so no I can get on it easier! This bike may actually turn out to be a keeper!

Dunno mate, never used one, only the Powervision on the Harley which was a simple plug n play into the loom. I think I was spoilt with the F800 as the motronic Fi system, will always refer to its base points, so it will gradually negate things like boosterplugs. This of course meant it would always change to suit any exhaust you had fitted.
