Supposed to be easier when removing wheel, but when I took it off 2nd time I didn't bother and was easy enough ish. I use block's of wood to raise wheel.

Undid both caliper bolts and pump pedal and perfect. Pedal all normal again and can see the caliper re align itself. So I've messed up somewhere and when bolts are fitted it twists caliper out of line and pedal no good again. Doubt there's any favourable movement to be had by re fitting the caliper bracket by undoing axle nut again, but may try.

I've probably knackered the thread in the caliper bracket so will try running tap through at the weekend. Anyway, it's only the back brake which is pretty much redundant anyway. 🙂👍

I've had once before where I misaligned the caliper hanger, it wasn't sat in its alignment groove but against it. If you've done same on something with a fancy ally swingarm, you'll be wishing you'd only cross threaded the caliper hanger...

Happy chap here. 🥳

I'd cross threaded the 12 mm caliper thread ( front bolt ) by fitting allen bolt first. (Rear bolt). This puts it slightly out of line so when fitting m12 it cross threads. It's all on forum, easy done. 🙃

Ordered m12 x 1.25 tap in week and screwed from inner side of thread, there's a bit of unused good thread there and it gives you a starting point. This time fix caliper with m12 first, not tight but well in, then fix rear allen bolt after. It stops it twisting. Nip them up, don't torque and all good.

Beware mt owners. 👍

Well...i went for a 'Weeksy ride' earlier and once the roads had dried up, i did about 40 odd miles on the new tyres. Took the shine off the centre piece but edge's not really touched. All seems good and rear brake is now functional, to a degree. Bring on Bedford. 👍
