Included stupid puncture that took two anchovies to fix after leaning bike against thorn bush to hold gate for walkers that decided they weren’t going that way🤬. Also a surprise shower and a punishing pub return.

Went out today, should of been a nice 2hr ride but had a small issue, so took longer, gears started to jump about 20km in, proper annoying, I had a quick go at sorting it, no joy, plus not going to lie I have no real idea of what I was doing anyways, so continued, found a cool little cycle shop on box hill, been past it 100's of time and never knew it was there, its close to where the old motorcycle shop that had all the old 400's. Anyways, went in, had a coffee, and they alined and sorted it out for me, well happy.

Man down, my wingman (Drax) got a bad case of squirrel fixation on a quick bit of Singletrack, this resulted in a a bit of weaving before I hit him and OTB'ed. Left calf muscle badly tweaked, feels like cramp. Mrs M had to tow me back to the car. Currently icing my calf. Mrs M says it was a spectacular dismount. The bike survived by landing on Drax so we're both on the sofa feeling sorry for ourselves.

Ha, no he shot off in front and got a bad dose of squirrel fixation and his situational awareness went out the window, he slowed mid trail, I went to dodge him and he then realised where I was and dodged straight into the front wheel........

I've been meaning to take a pic of the Whyte for a while, so this morning I stopped on my morning commute to WFH

I needed a dog assassin this morning - got chased by an angry collie for about half a mile before either my shouting put it off, or it decided to stop. God knows if it's owner found it...it wasn't very interested in anything they were telling it!

@Taff nice bike that!

I had an instance down the canal, the owner was bloody useless so i actually encouraged this dog to chase me for about 2 miles. Make the bugger work for it and the owner for being completley rude and obnoxious too.

I've done that, it's hilarious. I will stop if its friendly but if its trying to take a chunk out of me, game on.

I'm not sure I had the legs to escape it this morning, so I'm glad it gave up. But I like your thinking, next time I'll just keep going and going and see where we end up, until I fall off and it eats me...

Yesterday I did 4 Zwift races on the bounce! Yes 4.

They were short, but bloody intense and 130+ riders per race, so hard.

Race 1 was 309w average
Race 2 down to 298w
260w in race 3 and 226w died 2/3 of it in the final race. Lol

Today I had to drop my car off at @crust (long story)

Being daft I decided to ride back, down to Thames and then pangbourne, goring and up the big gravel hill to home.

Stopped for coffee and croissant in goring

Went out for a short spin yesterday to test my hound damaged calf. It was fine whilst peddling but the rattling downhill bit was very painful as the calf jiggled. Boy Blunder also came along and he was fine.

Tough dog that Drax.

Saw a T shirt for you bicycle chaps. It says 'Is my bike all right?' on the front but printed upside down. :D
