I really quite like that. And not only because the classics purists are struggling from their armchairs and slippers to pen a strongly worded letter to the editor before stabbing their eyes out. Particularly like the fairing.

If you're going to mess with something so far up the "holy grail classic" list though, you may as well go a bit further - proper brakes for starters. Maybe slightly beefier wheels.

Shiny and loud. Don't fancy using those levers.

I don't really have the nostalgia gene so I'll pass.

Engineering-wise, the pivot is furthest away from your strongest and most dextrous fingers.

I find it ugly, the proportions are wrong, the shape is wrong, it's too black and shiny, the pinstripes look wrong, most of these bikes I dislike and enjoy a good nit pick at the details, but this one I strongly dislike the looks of it

That's as maybe, it just looks like a heck of a stretch for my hands!

I have no nostalgic feelings for old Brit iron,I never rode any,but I do admire some models.

I quite like this to look at,but I don't think it would get ridden much.

Proper ratty, rusty BSA Bantam parked outside the Spoons in Hertford yesterday. I looked at it more than the brand new GS next to it.

If you're going to go that far, stick a monoshock back end on it (as per the original Vincent) and some decent forks and brakes. It's 'only' a reproduction Vincent engine and the frame is Egli, so no Phil Irving originals were harmed in the making of this. And reduce the width of the bars - they just look silly.

Things (hedges, large items of litter) get hooked onto the levers and make you crash.

Maybe Vincent thought “Black Flash” was fucking stupid!

Maybe it’s apt for a bike that itself looks fucking stupid.

It’s as stupid!

But they were marketing them to racers.
