Old bicycles, nice and simple.

Post by MingtheMerciless »

Mrs M has a commuter bike she bought 10 years ago, she used it for a year before it got consigned to the shed. We’re having a bit of a clear out and it’s going on FacebookBay later.

So I gave it a wash, cleaned the chain and fitted a new inner tube, other than that it was good to go. No forks seals to worry about, no pressfit BB to seize. No Hydraulic brakes to bleed or bin as they’d corroded into a solid pile of fur. Nice and simple. If my wrists could cope with it I’d be converting the Curtis to rigid forks(though I draw the line at canti brakes).
