Re: Tour de France 2022
True. But I don't think anyone expected him to do it to Roglic and the TT distance is unusually long I think. Barring mishaps though Vingy is in the driving seat. Haven't heard much about the other jerseys...young rider? or the Combativity awards. Maybe I've been missing the relevant C4 coverage.

Re: Tour de France 2022
Wonder what Ineos are going to do? Thomas, still pretty impressive but nearer the end of his career at the top than the start, Egan Bernal may never be the same rider again, the young bucks are good but seem a way off being the finished article. Even if they buy-in there's not many Pogs, Rogs or Vingys (or WvAs) around.

You're forgetting one on the INEOS boys.Count Steer wrote: ↑Wed Jul 20, 2022 4:56 pm Wonder what Ineos are going to do? Carapaz. Sure he's not young, but at 29 he's not old.
2nd in Tour and Giro, Olympic gold

Re: Tour de France 2022
Good point. I guess Pidcock and Yates have been getting all the attention. I thought TGH might be about to break through after the 2020 Giro.weeksy wrote: ↑Wed Jul 20, 2022 5:04 pmYou're forgetting one on the INEOS boys.Count Steer wrote: ↑Wed Jul 20, 2022 4:56 pm Wonder what Ineos are going to do? Aye, him too, but the game is just so tough and the bar so high to win the yellow.Count Steer wrote: ↑Wed Jul 20, 2022 5:17 pmGood point. Re: Tour de France 2022
Can't see the top 3 changing (Murray Walker Kiss of Death). I'd like Pidcock to have a go at the last hilly day tmrw but who knows. Anyone see the lantern rouge rider wobble across the line 16 secs in front of the broom bus. That's me that is, after a ride back from the pub.

It's all become a bit of a solo two horser. I'm missing the Cavendish road train I think.

Re: Tour de France 2022
Carapaz is off to Ef Education next year I think. Have Ineos confirmed their team for the Vuelta yet ? - Surely they'll have to let TGH have a go if he's fit unless Bernal is getting back to where he was or maybe Richie?
Can't wait for today - gonna be another cracker - what a tour it's been, no boring days at all

Oh didn't know that.... Interesting choice for him. I assume they feel Uran and Carthy are not good enough then.Ditchfinder wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 10:15 am Carapaz is off to Ef Education next year I think. I don't see Porte having a win in him.... TGH, i still dunno, apart from the 1 race, he's not really done a lot.

Re: Tour de France 2022
Shows either a lot of class or a lot of confidence to wait for him... likely a bit of both
