So 1970's in every way.

And we all know she's holding the handbrake, but we all know what it's meant to represent.
Got a customer with a nice white MG soft top what he bought new. He is now old and struggling to get in and out of it so its getting prepped for sale soon. Shame as you can see his face how much he loves the car when talking about it.

Successfully negotiated a back dated pay cut :wtf: TBF I've long thought I was overpaid for looking out of my kitchen window occasionally to see if the turbine was running.

Just been to see the shoulder surgeon

She's happy :bblonde: :bblonde: :bblonde: :bblonde:

She disagrees with the radiologist that said there was movement of the metal. She explained that because the stem of metal in the humerus had moved after the first operation, it doesn't look quite the way a normal, first time prosthesis would look. She's totally happy with the movement and the fact that I'm not taking all the meds and have no pain. Don't need to see her again till Feb - but we've moved it to April because Feb is the busy time!!

:bblonde: :bblonde: :bblonde:

So, with that massive stress/worry/fear no longer weighing me down, I can get really happy about the fact that I am going home on Thursday :bblonde: :bblonde: :bblonde:

Didn't want to get too excited in case she said no because something was wrong!!

A smidge sad as I've made a new friend here and kinda wish I'd been braver to chat more before, but never mind.

Am dancing!! In my head, in my chair and whenever I get up to go anywhere/do anything :D :D :D

Refelted the shed roof. The sun decided to come out halfway through so I cooked and am also covered in bitumen. I detest DIY.

sDay out [playing on the bike.

Over to Newquay on the N coast, and follow the coast down to Hayle.
Cut over to Lizard on the S coast and follow that down to Penzance.
Cut over to the N coast again at St Just and follow the coast back to Hayle
All twisties and scenic twisties too for the most part and I am a happy chappy and content to go home the main road.

Return marred by a massive queue on the dual A30 that needed 2 miles of filtering. Cause was what looked a very nasty bike accident at Chiverton Cross roundabout, at least 4 ambulances and a fast response car. I guy on the ground with about 4 people working on him. Didn't look good.

Take care out there people.

There has been an accident on the A30 at A390 at Chiverton Cross roundabout. The accident is said to have involved a car and a motorcycle. It has now been cleared and traffic is back to normal

Traffic website Inrix reports: "Traffic returned to normal, accident cleared on A30 Bypass Eastbound before A390 (Chiverton Cross roundabout)."

The cyclist was treated for injuries which "are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing."

Pedalled around Carsington waters in the pissing down rain. Pre booked bike hire. Soaked to the skin, back for shower then a mooch around Matlock.
Found an American style bar doing hot chicken wings in hot sauce. Ace place.

Then bought myself a nice tart in Bakewell, eating later.

Again, though with added jollies on an ATV.

It's been a great day so far, I woke up with the plague and then found the dishwasher had broken down.
Knowing appliances seem designed to prevent anyone fixing them I was about to buy a new one and decided to have a go at it first, it was only a simple job to clear and refit a hose and my wife is now in awe.
Awe may be a slight exaggeration but I'm pleased.

Been staying in Ashbourne for 3 nights so today had a drive up to Buxton, look around a few shops, cappuccino break and on to Ladybower reservoir for lay-by drinks, via the wonderful

Thought I'd show my wife the Derwent dam but access to the viewpoint was closed off, probably got to pay now, bastards. Anything of interest it's pay pay pay. 🤬 So she never saw it.

Coming back down through Hathersage, Calver and the wonderful biker friendly Bulls head at Monyash.

Last night the OH and I went to the speedway to see Berwick Bandits.

I’ve only ever been once before in my life and that was many years ago.

Well was an enjoyable night out. Very slickly run and interesting to watch.

I won’t become a fan but I’ll certainly go again.

Over the last three days I have put some order into, and thrown a lot out of, my apartment! I was a bit horrified at the state of it when I came home and had to keep reminding myself that I only had one leg to lean on, one arm to use and was bloody miserable in the 9 weeks before I went to the reeducation centre!!!

So, apart from being extra happy today that I have made some space, tidied and thrown some stuff out (and I've been to the garage I use and sorted some stuff to sell on :D), I'm also happy because for the first time in almost five years I can honestly say that I don't feel miserable (well, it was depressed really!). It's not just sorting stuff here, I've wanted to do that for years, but just haven't had the brain/mind/ability to do it or anyone to help me/chivvy me along!! Even knowing I 'probably' still can't ride the bike and so be independent for a couple (few?) more weeks isn't knocking me back :D:D

Totally freaking awesome :D I have met the most amazing people in the two reeducation centres I've been in and one of them really helped me this last time, mentally more than anything else. Just hope I can return the favour somehow

It also means that, although my phone thinks I've only walked 2411 steps (1.6km) my knee thinks I've done a shit ton more :D :D Same yesterday!! LOL But, since I don't carry my phone pacing around the apartment sorting stuff out . . . . .

Today Mrs Mango and I have mainly been at Newark kit car show. There was only one car I really went to see and it was the Lancia Stratos replica owned by one of the guys on the Lancia Beta forum.

The car did not disappoint...
